Arang Kel one of the major tourist destinations in Neelum valley, Pakistan and one of the most beautiful places to visit. You can reach there via Muzaffarabad using Murree Expressway and Kohala-Muzafarabad road.

Distance from Islamabad to Muzafarabad is almost 120 km and you can be there by your car in 3 hr 10 min approximately. Muzaffarabad to Kel is 150 km and travelling time is about 6.30 hrs approximately. It depends on your stays on the way.

Roads were good till Sharda that were almost 140 km from Muzafarabad but from Sharda to Kel had lots of bumps, zigzag and uneven surface seems to be Jeep track so only 10 km took almost 1.30 hrs to be in Kel.

Need to park your vehicle in Kel and move towards Arang Kel either by cable car or by foot. Cable car had quite reasonable charges only Rs. 100 per person returns ticket. Cable car took us to almost top of the mountain whereas you still need to hike for almost 30min.

By walk it took almost 1.30 hrs and you need a lot of stamina for hiking but I promise once you reach at top; you just whisper “Awesome, Wonderful”.
